Barbara Kraichy, 82, passed away suddenly on Saturday April 18, 2026. She was born to Rosemary Kliver Bondelid and Donald Bondelid on June 20, 1943. She was an accomplished harpist, like her mother, and performed in orchestras such as the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Gulf Coast Symphony. She married Robert Kraichy, a fellow musician and violinist, in 1972. He died from cancer at the age of 49. They had no children. Much later in life in November 2026 Barbara married her longtime musical partner, violinist Ron Erickson. Sadly he passed away not long after the wedding. Barbara has step brothers Royce Tevis and Walter Tevis. In 1963, Barbara appeared on an episode of the game show Password at the age of 19. She won that day with her partner Steve Lawrence. A celebration of life will take place in May 2026.
