Lisa A.
Quigley
Jan 9, 1968 — Jun 25, 2026
Lisa Quigley, devoted wife to Mike Quigley, loving mother to Stephanie, Nicholas, and Alex, dog mother to Belle, dog grandma to Millie, was born January 9th, 1968 to her parents Eileen Gizzi and Charles Schelli in Elmhurst Illinois. She was raised with her brother Charles Schelli and sister Gina Hanks.
Lisa was an incredibly strong woman, full of passion, life, love, and never afraid to speak her mind. Lisa fought for every minute of her life with incredible strength that family and friends will never forget. Her strength was a tribute to how much she valued life and the love of her family.
Lisa graduated from Illinois State University and later earned her masters degree in early childhood education from National Louis University. Lisa was a phenomenal 4th grade teacher. She believed you cannot leave this world without giving something back. Teaching was her way of giving. She encouraged students to learn, grow, and think independently. Lisa enriched the lives of hundreds of children.
Lisa shared her life with her husband Mike Quigley. The two enjoyed countless adventures. Together they loved travel, laughter, and making new friends. Passionate and kind, Lisa and Mike’s love was obvious to all who met them.
Lisa was a momma bear to her three incredible children: Stephanie, Nicholas, and Alex. She loved them dearly and created a bond like no other. Their relationship and trust held no secrets. Her children meant the world to her.
Lisa retired early and moved to Naples, Florida in June of 2023 chasing a dream with Mike. They spent three tremendously fun years making countless of friends. She loved wine, pickleball, mahjong and bocce ball. Lisa was the life of the party. With her beautiful smile and infectious laughter, Lisa had no problem connecting people together. She was always welcoming and accepting.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will take place at a date to be announced. Time is needed to properly plan a special event for such a wonderful woman. The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out. The thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
